The Fallout from Jinx’s Devastating Attack
Remember that heart-stopping cliffhanger at the end of Season 1? Jinx launched a rocket straight at the Piltover Council, leaving us all on the edge of our seats. Well, this episode picks up right where we left off, and it doesn’t shy away from showing the devastating consequences.
We see the council chamber in ruins, with Jayce miraculously surviving thanks to some quick thinking (and maybe a bit of plot armor). Sadly, not everyone was so lucky. Caitlyn’s mother didn’t make it, and Victor is clinging to life. It’s a sobering reminder of the high stakes in this conflict between Piltover and Zaun.

Victor’s Transformation Takes a Dark Turn
One of the most captivating aspects of this episode is witnessing Victor’s continued transformation into the machine herald we know from League of Legends. As Jayce desperately tries to save him, we see the hextech core reacting to Victor’s injuries, almost as if it’s trying to heal him. This gives us a glimpse into the symbiotic relationship between Victor and his technology, and it’s clear that this is just the beginning of his journey towards becoming the menacing Viktor we know from the game.

Piltover Under Siege
Just when we thought things couldn’t get any more intense, we’re thrown into an all-out assault on Piltover. Remember the chem baroness whose son was killed by Jayce in Season 1? Well, she’s back with a vengeance, leading a fierce attack on the city. We’re treated to some incredible action sequences, including a brutal showdown between Jayce and the chem baroness herself, who wields a weapon that looks suspiciously like the Chemtech Chainsword from League of Legends!
We also get to see Vi in action, wielding Jayce’s hammer and trying to defend the city. The animation in these scenes is absolutely top-notch, and the fight choreography is incredibly well done. It’s a thrilling sequence that left our jaws hitting the proverbial floor.

What’s Happening in Zaun?
While all this chaos is unfolding in Piltover, we can’t help but wonder what’s happening in Zaun. The episode focuses primarily on the events in Piltover, but we’re hoping that the next episode will shed some light on the situation in Zaun. Are the chem barons taking advantage of the chaos in Piltover? What’s Sevika up to? Will episode 2 answer these questions?

Arcane: Our Burning Questions and Theories
This episode left us with so many questions! What will happen to Victor now that he’s even more intertwined with his hextech creations? Will Caitlyn seek revenge for her mother’s death? And what role will Jinx play in the escalating conflict?
We’re also dying to know what’s going on with Vi and Caitlyn. Their relationship was left in a precarious place at the end of Season 1, and we’re eager to see how it develops in this new season.

Our Bold Predictions for the Rest of Arcane Season 2
We love to speculate, and this season is no exception! We’re already throwing out some bold predictions for what might happen in the coming episodes. Could we see the introduction of Mundo, the Madman of Zaun? It seems like the perfect opportunity, given all the experiments with Shimmer. We’re also curious to see which other champions might make an appearance.
