Skull and Bones Release Date and Gameplay Trailer

After being officially announced all the way back in 2017, ‘Skull and Bones’ has received a release date as well as an in-depth look at the new game. Ubisoft’s new pirate action-adventure game has gone all but silent since it’s announcement at E3 2017. After several delays we have finally got our first look at the new title, as well as a relatively close release date.

Drawing inspiration from Ubisoft’s own ‘Assassins Creed: Black Flag’, the new game from Ubisoft Singapore looks to deepen many elements allowing the game to stand on its own. Taking place during the “Golden Age of Piracy”, Skull and Bones places you in control of a customizable pirate captain. Controlling your own ship, as well as crew, players will venture out into the open world in pursuit of riches. If your crew is not kept happy and fed, they can revolt against you, leaving you for dead.

Multiplayer elements were also shown off, showcasing players fighting each other or working together. If your ship sinks during the naval combat, which draws heavy inspiration from ‘Black Flag’, players will lose their cargo, which can be recovered at your crash site. However, if another player gets to your cargo before you, they will seize all of your riches for themselves. Ubisoft assures that all of the content in ‘Skull and Bones’ can be played solo or in online multiplayer.

‘Skull and Bones’ releases on November 8th of 2022 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Microsoft Windows, Stadia, and Amazon Luna. Let us know what you thought of the gameplay reveal and if you’re excited for Skull and Bones!
