Announced during San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, the series will see the return of Charlie Cox as the lawyer turned vigilante. Disney announced the series along with a slew of Marvel projects on the docket for the upcoming years.

Daredevil made its small screen debut in 2015 as part of a slew of Netflix Marvel shows. The show would go on to garner a large following for its dark storytelling, intense action sequences, and brilliant performances. The rights would eventually return to Disney, with Charlie Coxreturning as the vigilante in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.

The eighteen-episode series will also see the return of Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk. A fan favorite since his premier in the Netflix series, D’Onofrio brought the best performance for the character of Kingpin. Most recently seen in the Disney+ ‘Hawkeye’ series, officially bringing the character into the Marvel Cinematic UniverseWilson Fisk was performed as cold and calculating as he was in the original ‘Daredevil’ series, while bringing a few more comic-accurate traits along the way. Whether the series will see the return of other characters from the original Netflix series remains to be seen.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ will release on Disney+ sometime in the spring of 2024. Alongside the announcement, Disney also showcased their plans for phase six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With ‘Fantastic Four’‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’, and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ all on the schedule.
